GAHFU, Inc. is proud to invite you to the ceremony of our first graduating class from The Garifuna Language & Cultural School on Saturday, April 12, 2008.

The committee led by Mrs. Cheryl Noralez, Rony Figueroa, Mr. Clifford Palacio, Mr. Ruben Reyes, Mr. Sidney Mejia, Mr. Carlos Alvarez and Mr. Melecio Gonzalez cordially invite you to be our guest and witness this historic event in the Garifuna community of Los Angeles, CA.

· Los Angeles, CA April 6, 2008: GAHFU, Inc. announces to all Garifuna organizations, their leaders and community dignitaries that The Blazer Learning Center will be open this coming Saturday April 12 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm to welcome and honor the first graduating class from the Garifuna Language & Cultural School with traditional Garifuna food served to all those attending and a brief performance from the children’s’ Garifuna Language Through Music Class led by Mr. Sidney Mejia and a reading by three students of an Uraga from the Garifuna Beginner’s I Class taught by Mr. Palacio and Mr. Reyes. The students graduating are: (Children) Brandon Welch, Artesha Welch, Damira Noralez, Ellis Noralez, Jr., Isani R. Figueroa, Darrell Williams, Raven McDonald, Destiny Gamboa. (Adult) Agatha Augustine, Avis Anigi Briggs, Dr. Cadrin E. Gill, Michele Goldwasser, Ellis Noralez, Rony Figueroa and Cheryl L. Noralez.

GAHFU, Inc. also announces its next course to begin on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at The Blazer Learning Center. The registration fee will be $25 per student which includes study materials and school supplies.
